Nosso foco em Doenças Raras

Mais de 300 milhões de pessoas no mundo vivem com uma doença rara, mas ainda são negligenciadas. A maioria dos profissionais de saúde não está familiarizada com essas condições e muitas vezes diagnostica pacientes de forma incorreta, já que os sintomas se parecem com os de doenças mais comuns.

Além disso, a falta de ferramentas capazes de identificar os primeiros sinais e direcionar os pacientes de forma adequada contribui para atrasos no diagnóstico.

Como resultado, a maioria dos pacientes raros espera pelo menos 5 anos até obter uma confirmação. Neste meio tempo, seus sintomas podem piorar ou até mesmo se tornarem permanentes. Este problema também impacta financeiramente tanto o sistema de saúde quanto as próprias famílias.

Quanto mais cedo chegamos ao diagnóstico, mais cedo podemos reduzir a carga para todos os envolvidos na jornada do paciente — e contribuir para uma melhor qualidade de vida.

Michał is the R&D Manager for a recently awarded PARP grant focused on AI-driven early detection of rheumatological diseases and Key R&D Personnel for another on AI for earlier detection and treatment of iron deficiencies. Academically, Michał is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Computational Biology Group at IPI PAN, holding a PhD in biological sciences. His deep expertise in human genetics, epigenetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics forms the robust scientific foundation for Saventic’s innovative data-driven medical advancements.
